I thank my God for every remembrance of you, always in every one of my prayers for all of you, praying with joy for your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. - Philippians 1
What does it mean to be thankful? To have gratitude? Why does it even matter? This November our sermon series will dive into the book of Philippians as we explore the power of being thankful in our lives.
If you are stressed out this holiday season, researchers from UCLA have found the benefits of showing gratitude including:
Faster recovery from heart problems
Reduced risk of mortality from sickness and disease
Improved cancer survival rate
Improved relationships
Greater happiness is a result
Greater sense of increased satisfaction
Lowered level of stress
I hope you will join us in person on Sundays as we practice saying thank you to God, to others, and even to ourselves.
